About Grossman Burn Centers
At Grossman Burn Centers, our mission is not merely to ensure patient survival, but to restore patients to as close to their pre-injury condition as possible – functionally, emotionally and cosmetically, in a nurturing, compassionate and personal environment.
Zubaida Hasan is a young girl who was burned in Afghanistan at the age of nine. Dr. Grossman performed over a dozen extraordinary reconstructive procedures for this child as well as becoming her legal guardian (along with his wife, Rebecca).
Her case was featured on several television shows including the "Oprah Show" and CNN. Her book, "Tiny Dancer" tells the compelling story of her transformation.
Youssif is a young Iraqi boy, who was set on fire while he was out playing in the streets. The Children's Burn Foundation sponsored his treatment and Dr. Grossman headed the reconstructive team.
Today, Youssif is integrating into his new life in the United States, with his smile and confidence restored.
