GROSSMAN BURN CENTERS
At The Grossman Burn Centers we recognize a burn injury affects more than just the physical body. The nature of these injuries often brings intense psychological reactions such as post traumatic stress, depression and anxiety. These reactions are not just limited to patients. Spouses, partners, children, parents and extended family members can also be emotionally affected by a loved one’s burn injury. To help people cope with their injury and treatment, The Grossman Burn Centers utilizes skilled mental health professionals to provide intensive psychotherapeutic intervention while a patient is hospitalized. For those patients who require mental health care post discharge, those services are available as well. We also offer supportive intervention for family members as well as burn survivor support groups open to anyone in the community who has been affected by a burn injury.
