The Grossman Burn Centers (“GBC”) have finalized a deal with Dignity Health to establish a new burn unit at Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA.
The company is in talks with several potential hospital partners to open additional Grossman Burn Centers around the country and internationally.
The new facility will be the ninth burn center opened by GBC.
The Grossman Burn Centers are renowned for their expertise in establishing plastic surgery-based burn units within existing hospitals that lack burn care resources and infrastructure. In some cases, GBC will continue to manage burn units after they open, but its new, primary role is as a design consultant, managing the build-out of a burn center, implementing policies and procedures, and training professional and administrative staff.
